Recently, I had the amazing opportunity to create a new series of Splash paintings for Armada Music in Amsterdam. These works are inspired by the song lyrics of some of the biggest artists on the label, including Nick Schilder and Armin van Buuren. It was a special challenge for me to translate the emotion and energy in their music into a visual artwork.
The paintings are an explosion of color. I worked with powerful splashes, flowing lines, and abstract forms to reflect the dynamics and rhythm of the music. The idea was to capture, on canvas, the intense emotions I feel when I listen to their music. Every brushstroke is an expression of the energy I experience in the music — the excitement, the tension, the euphoria. It’s like you can’t just hear the music, but you can also see it.

The color choices, the way I splattered the paint, and the abstract movements in the work are all meant to reflect the intensity of the music. I hope that anyone who sees these pieces will feel the same dynamic energy and passion I experienced while creating them. The paintings are unique, just as Armada’s music is — always fresh, always boundary-pushing.
I’m incredibly proud of this series of paintings. For me, they form a beautiful connection between two worlds that are always closely linked: Art and Music. These works are not just a tribute to the artists of Armada but also a way to show how deeply music can affect us, even in the visual realm.
